UConn men’s ice hockey 5, No. 2 Boston College 4
UConn men’s hockey exploded for five goals and upset No. 2-ranked Boston College, 5-4, in front of a sold-out crowd at Toscano Family Ice Forum on Friday night.
Five different Huskies lit the lamp, as UConn (6-5-1, W-L-T) put up three goals in the second period and two in the third to push past the Eagles (7-2-0).
Ryan Tattle, Hudson Schandor and Tristan Fraser each had a goal and an assist. Kadan Shahan and Tom Messineo also scored for UConn.
The Huskies next face UMass-Lowell for a two-game series beginning Friday, Nov. 22. Both games can be streamed live on ESPN+.

The UConn field hockey program’s dreams of winning a sixth national title came to an end on Friday as the third-seeded Huskies were upset by UMass in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Storrs.
Juul Sauer scored her 13th goal of the season to give UConn a lead in the first quarter, but UMass struck back with goals from Paula Lorenzini and Hannah De Gast.
The Minutewomen advanced to face Harvard in a second-round game in Storrs on Sunday. The winner of that game will move on to the national semifinals.
