HANOVERTON, Ohio (WKBN) – United’s coach Jason Thompson must replace six seniors from a year ago.
“We’ll be very deep but extremely young,” says Thompson. “I expect us to be a very fast team, who’s aggressive.”
Three starters return with Jason Pratt and its frontcourt mates of Trent Ellyson and Luke Mercer. Look for newcomers Alex Rawson, Kadin Schonauer, Wyatt Blevins, Matthew Hoopes, M’Kyan Haynes, Kota Shasteen, Ryan Miller, Lance Rycraft and Thomas Elston to be in the mix for minutes at the varsity level.
“We’re looking to [strengthen] our ball handling but we feel we have the athleticism and size to [rely on],” Thompson states.
The season gets underway at Marlington on Tuesday, December 3.
