RAVENNA, Ohio (WKBN) – State-ranked Ursuline has taken a commanding lead over Gilmour Academy in the Division III Regional Championship.
The Fighting Irish wasted little time finding the endzone. Ursuline scored on their opening drive with a 31-yard touchdown run from senior quarterback DC Ferrell.
Senior running back Joe Balog would score twice more in the 2nd quarter to extend the lead to 21-0.
Ursuline would continue to run up the score when Ferrell connected with Devonte Taylor for a 7-yard touchdown. The Irish have a 27-0 lead in the 2nd quarter.
The winner will advance to play either defending state champion Toledo Central Catholic (12-1) or Padua Franciscan (8-5) in the Division III State Semifinals next Friday night.
