The US has detected an increase in Russian military activity around key undersea cables and now considers it even more likely that Russia will proceed with sabotage of crucial communications infrastructure. A secret Russian military unit is also said to be focusing on disabling undersea (internet) cables, US officials told ‘CNN’.
