Season 4 of The Boys brought along some familiar and some widely unknown faces to its diabolical plot. Starring as the supe Firecracker, actress Valorie Curry is one of the newest addition to the Prime Video series. Lacking any remarkable powers, Curry’s character is a right-wing conspiracy theorist who loves to spread absurd conspiracy theories, many of whom are pointed at Starlight.

Eager to please Homelander, Curry’s character does some questionable things, showing just how far she is willing to go for the sake of Homelander’s validation. An unpredictable and power-hungry character, Firecracker widely differs from the actress’ role in one of the most underrated superhero TV shows, The Tick.

With both seasons of The Tick having an impeccable rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the series is a one-of-a-kind sci-fi comedy action superhero drama which starred Valorie Curry as Dot Everest. A paramedic and the sister of the show’s protagonist, Arthur, Everest couldn’t be more different from the explosive Firecracker.

A grounded and resilient character, who later develops the ability to see a few seconds ahead in the future, Everest undergoes a memorable character development. Everest’s journey from a concerned sister to someone deeply involved in the superhero world is portrayed with nuance, highlighting Curry’s acting ability to switch gears with ease and finesse.

Valorie Curry’s Firecracker might not have any interesting superpowers, but she is certainly an interesting character seeing the lengths she will go for Homelander. Having become a favorite of fans with her controversial acts in The Boys season 4, the actress recently revealed an unfortunate fan encounter she recently had.

In a video shared on her Instagram stories, the actress revealed the uncomfortable incident (via Independent),

I know people saw a character that I played do some really extreme things on The Boys… it’s not OK and it’s not funny to demand those things from me in person at my booth. It’s not OK.

In the series, Curry’s character takes medication to induce lactation even when she is not pregnant to impress Homelander, which leads to a couple of NSFW scenes. Potentially referring to those scenes as ‘extreme things’, the actress added that she made it clear she was uncomfortable yet the fan continued to make similar demands.

Thanking her ‘respectful and kind fans’ Valorie Curry stated that she would love to attend more conventions if only fans continue to be respectful towards her.

The Boys and The Tick are available to be streamed on Amazon Prime.
