The game kicked off early due to a threat of bad weather and Vestavia Hills scored early and often to earn its first win of the season in a Class 7A, Region 3 game at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
The Rebels had started the season 0-3, including a region loss last week to Hewitt-Trussville. The Patriots dropped to 2-2 and 0-2 in the region – their second straight setback in their second ever Region 3 game.
