Vote for the top Huntsville-area football player of Week 4

Fans can once again cast their vote for their favorite performance from north Alabama high school football action.

Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until Wednesday evening. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are the nominees from Week 4:

Layton Pohl, New Hope: Pohl went off for six touchdowns in New Hope’s 48-24 win over Madison County on Friday. He racked up 284 yards and five touchdowns on 19 rushing attempts, also hauling in two catches for 47 yards and a touchdown. He also totaled 60 return yards in the win.

Graham Batey, Randolph: Batey shined on both sides of the ball for Randolph in a 35-9 win over Westminster Christian on Friday. Batey totaled 186 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground, also hauling in three catches for 47 yards and a touchdown. He also racked up 11 tackles on defense, including two tackles for loss.

Maddox Doss, Fyffe: Doss accounted for two special teams touchdowns in Fyffe’s 63-0 shutout of Class 3A, Region 8 foe Asbury. He returned two punts for touchdowns in the win; one from 51 yards and another from 41 yards.

Johnny Jackson, Bob Jones: Jackson completed 13-of-23 passes for 196 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in Bob Jones’ 50-23 win over Class 7A, Region 4 foe Grissom on Friday.

Titan Partlow, West Morgan: Parlow threw for three touchdowns in West Morgan’s 48-0 shutout of Priceville on Friday. He also threw for a pair of two-point conversions.

Street Smith, Guntersville: The Guntersville quarterback completed 10 of his 12 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcats’ 64-0 blowout of Sardis on Friday. He also ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on seven rushing attempts.

MJ Gideon, James Clemens: Gideon finished with 111 yards and two touchdowns in the victory for James Clemens, scoring from 3 yards out in the first half and 8 yards out in the second.

Drew Puccio, Arab: The Arab quarterback helped lead Arab to a 41-28 road win over Brewer on Friday. He totaled 10 carries for 233 yards and four touchdowns, one of which was for 97 yards. He also completed nine of his 14 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown in the air; the touchdown was for 54 yards.
