HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Tennessee Valley has been experiencing an unseasonably warm November and Fall. Along with the warm temperatures it has been dry supporting severe to extreme drought conditions.
Huntsville is seeing one of the warmest starts to November when looking at records dating back to 1907. The average temperature, combining the high and low temperatures, is 69.9 degrees in November, the warmest in nearly a decade.
This is the warmest start in nearly a decade, observing data between the 1 and 10. This year is nearly four degrees warmer than this time in 2015.

A cold front is forecast to track through the region Wednesday into Thursday. Cooler air behind the front will drop temperatures back into the upper 60s to low 70s Thursday through the upcoming weekend. Huntsville’s average high this time of year is 66 degrees.
Along with the cooler air, rain chances will increase from late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. As of Monday afternoon, locally heavy rain and isolated storms will be possible.
