BAZETTA, Ohio (WKBN) – The Warren Family Mission is working to feed the hungry ahead of Thanksgiving.
The mission is hosting a drive-thru food giveaway Saturday at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
People are being asked to enter the fairgrounds at Gate A, which is on Hoagland Blackstub Road north of Everett Hull Road.
The mission is expecting to provide food to about 200 families in need during the event.
There is a limit of two households per car with identification. The giveaway will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“There was an opportunity that presented itself to have meat and fresh produce available, and so right before the holidays, we wanted to bless the community and kind of put that out to be able to help people that are in need of food,” said Dominic Mararri, of the Warren Family Mission.
The giveaway is made possible thanks to a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, Trumbull County Commissioners and the Trumbull County Fair Board.
Volunteers from Safe Harbor Recovery will be helping out during the event.
