A mid-century ranch-style home designed by lauded designer Cliff May is on the market in Anaheim for $899,000.
This 1,218-square-foot ranch, part of a May tract completed in 1954, features three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open layout that connects to the outdoors. Records show the current owner bought the property in June 2019 for $630,000.
Co-listing agent Garrett McKechnie of Sotheby’s International Realty said by phone that the previous owners, who are family members of the original owner, made some improvements. But his client has since replaced all the plumbing and tackled cosmetic updates such as new paint and landscaping.
“It’s an interesting tract where the homes are still there, but some have been completely changed,” McKechnie said. “‘There aren’t as many (May) homes that still have the original floor plan and detail; that’s what makes this home so special.”
Located at the corner of Ball Road and Pepper Street near Disneyland, tropical landscape conceals the house, ensuring privacy for its inhabitants.
