WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. (WKBN) – West Middlesex defeated Moniteau in the opening round of the state tournament before falling to Greensburg Central Catholic after accumulating 20-wins during the season.
The Ms. Reds improved by 9-wins from the year prior (11 to 20).
West Middlesex returns juniors Sloan Mild and Caitlyn Shaffer as well as sophomores Kala Jones, Grace Stephens, Jen Babcock and Lucy Briggs. A newcomer to keep an eye on is Abby Stinedurf.
“We expect the group to work hard to get better each game; learn from our mistakes,” says coach Maryjo Staunch. “We must accept our new roles and step up. Build confidence and skills with each gaining varsity experience.”
The Ms. Reds will begin the new season on December 3 against Hickory.
