Western Reserve High School girls basketball preview

Western Reserve High School girls basketball preview

BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WKBN) – After going through its grueling regular season, Western Reserve posted three playoff wins (over Rittman, Maplewood, Canton Central Catholic) before falling by just 4-points in the district title contest to Richmond Heights.

Returning for his 12th season, Steve Miller looks to have his Lady Devil team achieve more success. Reserve has won 5 district championships; prevailed 193 games during that time span under his watch.

This year, Western Reserve will look to move on without such a strong graduating class that featured Alyvia Hughes, Lisa Eichert, Angelina Cappabianca and Kaleigh Williams.

The Lady Devils will welcome back First-Team All-Conference performer Quincy Miller – who led the team in scoring with 10 points per game; sinking 40 three-pointers – and Kylee Ramsey, a Second-Team All-League player who finished second in scoring (9.5 ppg).

Isabella Mauro, Amanda Hamilton, Giana Leone, Chloeigh Endsley and Kylah Busch will all be looked upon to contribute towards the Lady Devils’ success this season.

Reserve is set to open the season on November 26 against Bristol.
