What’s next for Alabama football? What to know about Georgia

Alabama football got back on track Saturday, following a rough performance against Wisconsin. The Crimson Tide went on the road and blew out Wisconsin at Camp Randall, winning 42-10 to move to 3-0 on the season.

The win was both the first road and first Power 4 victory of the Kalen DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa. Alabama’s offensive line improved, its explosive passing game worked and it remedied the lack of defensive takeaways from the USF game.

But now, the real test is coming.

What’s next for Alabama?

The Crimson Tide first has an open weekend, providing time to heal up. After that, it’s a battle of SEC powers, when No. 1 Georgia comes to Tuscaloosa.

Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs will also be entering the Sept. 28 matchup off of a bye week. They’re undefeated, but coming off a scare Saturday night in Lexington.

Kentucky led for much of the way Saturday, but the Bulldogs were able to stave off the upset.. Georgia won 13-12.

The Alabama game will be Smart’s first time returning to Bryant-Denny Stadium with a full crowd. He coached the Bulldogs there in 2020, but attendance was limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kickoff for the Sept. 28 game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be aired on ABC.
