Keyante Pettaway stretched over the goal line after a second and third effort on a 2-point conversion run to lift host Williamson to a 28-26 overtime win over Citronelle in a Class 5A Region 1 battle of unbeatens at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Friday night.
Moments earlier, Williamson’s Ellis McGaskin ran for a 1-yard TD to tie the score at 26. Citronelle had gone ahead 26-20 by opening overtime with Daylon Edmunds’ fourth touchdown pass, a 14-yard strike, but Easton Helton’s PAT hit the left upright.
