A tree worker was killed after he was struck by a fallen tree in Cheshire on Monday.
Officers, along with the Trinity Ambulance Service and Cheshire Fire Department, responded to 16 Chipman Dr. around 4:08 p.m. for the report of a tree worker that had been caught under a tree which had fallen in an “unintended direction,” according to the Cheshire Police Department.
The victim, an approximately 50-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. He was not identified at this time.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to the scene and is working in conjunction with the Cheshire Police Department to investigate the incident, according to police.
