Social media loses its mind over the first look at Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage
In a recent EW exclusive, the first look at Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage was revealed. While fans had been expecting the show since Young Sheldon ended in May, no one expected an update so soon. With pictures of Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper and Emily Osment as Mandy McAllister taking the internet by storm, viewers were bamboozled about what to expect.
However, that did not drown out the excitement for the sequel series. In fact, it even added to it. Once the pictures were posted, fans took to X to share their thoughts on the update. Although some people seemed less than interested in the show, others were over the moon about the comeback.
With the show releasing in October on CBS, it is no surprise that the pictures from the series were finally shared. However, it was the public reaction that stole the spotlight. Fans were so up in arms about the news that one even took to X to say, “No way we got a Sheldon universe before the Blade movie.”
With such a mixed reaction online, there is no way of saying how the Young Sheldon spin-off will fare after its release.

Thankfully, the executive producer, Steve Holland sat down with EW to discuss the sequel and the meaning behind the title.
They’re a young couple, he’s much younger than she is. They got into this marriage in unique circumstances, so it’s not necessarily going to be an easy ride for them, even though they love each other and they’re in this for the long haul. I think it’s just a little hint that everything isn’t necessarily going to go smoothly for these two.
Holland talked about Montana Jordan’s character and stated, “He promised his dad in the Young Sheldon finale that he would take care of everyone, and I think he takes that responsibility seriously.” With the character having to step up and be the head of the family after his father’s untimely passing, fans will get to see a brand new side to him.
Even Jordan is looking forward to his character arc. The 21-year-old stated, “In Young Sheldon, you got to see when he was a kid, and now you get to see him step up and be the father role and the man of the household.” With there being a lot to unravel in the show, there is no doubt that fans could fall in love with the upcoming series. After all, the characters had been fan favorites earlier.
