BRENDAN RODGERS had more than just his team’s performance to concern himself with at Hampden today.
The Celtic boss watched as his side beat Aberdeen 6-0 but he was booked for kicking the ball away at one point – and was left fizzing after learning his starting XI had been leaked online.
Now that their place in the Premier Sports Cup final has been secured, Rodgers will turn most – but not all – of his attention to the Champions League with RB Leipzig next up for the Hoops on Tuesday.
That’s because he’ll also have an eye on finding the mole who leaked his tactics before today’s semi-final, after they appeared on social media prior to kick-off.
The same thing happened during the week ahead of the match against Dundee and Rodgers has vowed to get tough on the culprit.
And he’s declared whoever is carrying out the act is NOT a proper Celtic fan.
Rodgers said after full-time at Hampden: “It’s not ideal and it’s not nice when it gets out there.
“It has happened the other way to me as a manager, learning the opposition team early, and I can tell you it definitely helped me.
“Maybe it feels good for someone’s ego to put it out. But whoever is putting it out, if it’s someone from Celtic, then you’re not a Celtic supporter.
“We will do everything we can to find out who it is”.
Neil Lennon also had issues with a mole in the camp during his most recent spell as Hoops boss.
It also happened during Rodgers’ first stint.
Lennon revealed last year that he even threatened to bring in a forensic team to try and find out who was culpable for the leaks.
He said: “In my second spell, we would pick the team a day before.
“Then the team would be out on the wires at like 7pm that night. You’re thinking ‘it’s coming from somewhere in the building’.
“Sometimes, even the players can do you in if they’re maybe out the team.
“It wouldn’t have happened 10-15 years ago but it’s such a common trend now. I am wary of naming a team a day before the game but it’s what the players like.
“We played Jonny Hayes (in September 2019), there’s absolutely no way anybody could have known we were going to play Jonny Hayes on the left wing.
“I swear, at 6.30pm (Saturday night before game) it’s all over Twitter.
“I was raging, you are just giving the opposition an advantage here. Because either someone is getting paid money for it or they are giving it to a betting company, or this guy is feeding them a few. I don’t know. It was just so wrong on so many levels.
“It wasn’t leaked to the media, it was leaked to somebody and this guy would put it on Twitter.
“Even under Brendan, nine times out of 10 was bang on with the team.

“Somebody in the dressing room or the building is doing this.
“We tried all sorts to stop it. I said we are bringing in forensic computer IT guys to check your phones and blah, blah.. And it stopped for a while. But then bang it started again.”
