COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – The YSU men’s basketball team dropped their first game of the season with an 81-47 loss to Ohio State on Monday.
The Penguins were led by junior forward Chris Carroll, who finished with 10 points. Sophomore center Gabe Dynes and 5th year senior Ty Harper each chipped in 9 points in for YSU.
YSU shot just 24% from the floor and connected on only 3 of 22 shots from behind the arc.
Aaron Bradshaw and John Mobley Jr. each finished with 16 points for the Buckeyes, who improve to 6-0 all-time against Youngstown State.
The Penguins will continue their challenging non-conference road trip this Saturday when they take on Syracuse at 1 p.m.
