A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while riding his bike in Waterbury on Friday evening, police said.
The Waterbury Police Department said officers were called to Ridgewood Street around 7 p.m. for a report that a child was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his bicycle in the road.
The child, indentified as a 10-year-old boy, was airlifted to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford with serious injuries, police said.
The Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident.
