The chief producer of several very important games from Dragon Ball, like Kakarot or Xenoverse, Ryo Mito, will be supervising the project. Nevertheless, the main character responsible for this new version of the Tenkaichi saga will be Jun Furutani. This new team is working on Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is very open to criticism, and Furutani himself has confirmed that he is a big fan of this saga.

Thanks to an interview translated and posted on X, a collaboration effort between @LaunSSJ, @Yekais, and @SofianLeGEEK. The development team confirmed many new characteristics for the game. There will be no split-screen mode, which apparently is a problem on the PS5 and Xbox; it has nothing to do with the game. The Xbox Series S is very difficult to work with, so there have been some issues with that platform.

A lot of characters will be available

The date of release for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will be sometime in 2024 or 2025, if that is necessary. Dragon Ball GT characters will be available in the main game or in the form of DLC; fusions will be part of the roster of fighters too, including Gogeta, Vegito, and Gotenks. The title will have a new and evolved story mode with certain resemblances to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the game will be available on PC, Xbox Series S/X, and PS5.

The graphics quality has already improved from the trailers; there will be battle damage and deterioration to the suits for every character in every fight. Fights will be longer than other games in this franchise. The cover art and some designs will be in the style of Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. Several new trailers will be released in the coming months. Characters from the movies will be included in the game. A special attention to background detail is in the works for better immersion in combat.
