Far right parties Fratelli d’Italia (Italian brothers) leader Giorgia Meloni has a good chance of becoming Italy’s first female prime minister after Sunday’s parliamentary elections. State laws stipulate that the results of sociological surveys stop being made public two weeks before the elections, but the final data showed that Fratelli d’Italia can receive the support of approximately 25% of voters and together with two other right-wing parties – League and Forza Italia! (Go Italy!) – ensure a comfortable majority in both chambers of the parliament
