COLUMBUS, Ohio — In what Ohio State hopes is its only loss to Notre Dame this week, four-star offensive tackle Guerby Lambert committed to the Irish on Tuesday night.
The news was first reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Lambert is ranked No. 48 overall (No. 2 offensive tackle) in the 247Sports composite rankings for the 2024 class, and chose Notre Dame over Ohio State, Boston College and Harvard.

Lambert had long been considered to be a Notre Dame favorite, but without much news in his recruitment, there wasn’t much known. Now, those suspicions were confirmed.
As for Ohio State, the Buckeyes will continue their pursuit of a few offensive linemen in the 2024 class, five-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker being the most notable. They currently have four (Ian Moore, Devontae and Deontae Armstrong and Marc Nave) offensive line commitments in the class.
Lambert, though, would’ve been the highest-rated of that group.
