Following Dwayne Johnson’s hard slap right in the face of 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, the tension between the superstars has escalated, marking the beginning of The Rock’s heel phase. The storyline is getting attention as it has claimed several interesting twists.
In the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, The Rock launched a brutal attack on Rhodes backstage. The segment was a hit as fans got a taste of what these superstars have in store for WrestleMania 40. Now, a fan made a series of stunning anime art taking the violent brawl as an inspiration.
Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes’ Brawl Comes Alive In Fan Art
Artist Norberto Gaetán who previously made several WWE and AEW segments come alive through his anime-styled artworks, has published the recent Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes backstage brawl. The Rock violently attacked The American Nightmare in the segment, and Gaetán acutely reflected it.

Gaetán previously featured several recent WWE feuds that are leading to WrestleMania 40 which includes Jey and Jimmy Uso’s’ brother vs brother and Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and The Rock segment where The American Nightmare slapped The Rock after his personal insult.
When Monday Night Raw was coming to an end, The Rock punishing Cody Rhodes appeared on the projection screen. The American Nightmare was helpless as The Rock manhandled him, soaking his face in blood and constantly insulting “Mama Rhodes”— a reference to Rhodes’ determination to finish the story and win the Universal Title for his mother. Gaetán’s artwork covered the brawl while their tattoos shone with astounding detail.
The Rock, The Ultimate Boss
While Rhodes is climbing up the ladder to reach the top of the game, The Rock’s return has perhaps proved to be the most difficult roadblock in his career. As for the Great One, being the ultimate boss, doesn’t care about Rhodes’ emotion-packed story. The People’s Champion, who turned heel with his lavish clothing and style complimenting his attitude era aggression, has not left any stone unturned to humiliate The American Nightmare and his allies. On March 1, Johnson took to social media to extend his insults further.

F*ck your story,” The Rock said.
Certainly, fans have enjoyed the feud ahead of WrestleMania 40 as they will go toe to toe in the big event. Rhodes will fight alongside Rollins against The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and The Rock, then in the big show, Reigns vs. Rhodes for the Universal Championship title.
WrestleMania 40 starts from 6 April to 7 April.
