SALEM Twp., Pa. (WKBN)- Pennsylvania State Police responded to an armed robbery in Mercer County Monday, according to a press release.

PSP said that numerous units responded to a commercial convenience store on Osborn Road in Salem Township shortly before 11:30 a.m.

PSP said that a female victim was operating the business at the time of the robbery and she said that the suspect showed a handgun and attempted to force her to go with him. Reports said that the victim fled the business on foot.

PSP said that the robber took cash from the register and fled northbound on Osborn Road in the direction of Methodist Road. PSP reports did not disclose how much cash was stolen.

PSP Mercer said that they believe that the suspect is a 5’5 white male who is 150 lb. and wearing dark clothing as well as a pullover hat and mask. PSP is asking the public to look for a dark gray colored sedan that might be with a roof rack.

PSP Mercer is asking anyone with information related to the suspect or incident to call 724-662-6162.
