Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list and will be active on Saturday against the Washington Nationals.

In a corresponding move, outfielder Nathan Lukes has been optioned to triple-A Buffalo.

Kiermaier has been sidelined since April 24 with right hip inflammation. He left the Blue Jays’ game on April 23 against Kansas City in the sixth inning and did not return.

He has struggled to start the 2024 season, with three RBI in 11 hits over 57 at-bats, averaging just .193.

In other lineup moves, the Blue Jays moved shortstop Bo Bichette down to fifth in the batting order. Centre fielder Daulton Varsho moves up to the No. 2 spot.

Watch the Blue Jays take on the Nationals in Game 2 of the series on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 4:05 p.m. ET / 1:05 p.m. PT.
