BMW stolen at gunpoint in CT carjacking

A BMW was stolen at gunpoint in Norwalk early Thursday, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting a carjacking on Westport Avenue at 5:02 a.m., according to the Norwalk Police Department.

Investigators found that two suspects allegedly stole the BMW X3 from the owner of the vehicle at gunpoint and then fled to the intersection of Dry Hill Road and Westport Avenue, where they allegedly tried to steal another vehicle, police said.

The driver of the second targeted vehicle was able to maneuver the vehicle past the suspect and get away, according police.

The stolen BMW was recovered by officers in Norwalk on Thursday, police said.
