A New Haven woman has been charged with allegedly using her motorcycle to block a police car from responding to the scene of a crash during a massive street takeover in Milford this summer.
Nashaly Vega-Vega, 24, turned herself in on an arrest warrant on Monday and was charged with illegal obstruction of an emergency vehicle, having improper mirrors, six counts of improper signaling, two counts of failure to drive on the right and two counts of failure to obey a traffic control signal, according to the Milford Police Department.
Investigators identified Vega-Vega as the driver of a motorcycle who allegedly stopped her bike in front of a police car and directed other riders to go around it — blocking police from responding to the scene of a crash — during a street takeover on July 8 that involved about 300 dirt bikes, ATVs and motorcycles, police said.
The takeover caused multiple traffic delays, violations and at least one motor vehicle crash, according to police.

Vega-Vega is the second person to face criminal charges in connection to the July takeover, police said.
A New Haven man has been charged with causing the crash that Vega-Vega allegedly prevented police from getting to and with leaving the scene, according to police.
Jonathan Delgado, 40, was charged with evading responsibility, failure to obey a control signal and operating a motorcycle without an endorsement, police said. He was scheduled to appear in court next in Milford on Oct. 10.
Investigators said Vega-Vega was also allegedly seen by police driving through red lights and crossing traffic lanes without signaling on Boston Post Road during the takeover. She is scheduled to appear in court in Milford on Oct. 17, according to police.
