Dragon’s Dogma 2, the sequel to the 2012 Dragon’s Dogma, has been one of the most anticipated titles of the year. The game was released by Capcom on March 22 across all platforms. The game opened to much hype, but as fans started playing the game, negative reviews started pouring in.
Players were not happy for a few reasons. However, the most prominent one seemed to be an optimization issue. Several players complained of frame rate drops while playing the game, and most of these occurred in the cities with a bigger number of NPCs than other areas. Some also suggested that non-valuable NPCs should be killed so as to avoid the frame rate issue.

Apart from being careful of the NPCs in the game, players should also be careful of a particular quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This particular quest can lock the players out of content in the game. YouTuber RageGamingVideos pointed out the quest in their video and explained why players should delay doing this quest.
As pointed out by the YouTuber, completing this quest in the game will trigger a point of no return for the main story. Players will find this quest once they reach Bakbattahl, where one of the main story quests Flickering Shadows will start.
Within this main quest, players will find a particular quest named ‘Give life crystals to Ambrosius’. This quest involves a building as Ambrosius works in the Forbidden Magic Lab. Players should be careful at this point because as they start this quest, they will lose access to other side quests, certain NPCs, and even access to certain areas of the game.
YouTuber RageGamingVideos advises that players should focus on completing other quests in the game, explore the map, and enjoy the RPG to the fullest. After they feel like everything has been done, they can proceed to this quest of no return.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 upcoming patch notes
After listening to the complaints of players, Capcom has confirmed the Patch 1.1 update for the game. Apart from the fact that the patch notes will be available soon, nothing much is known about its official release date. Since players are expecting a lot of improvements from this update, it is obvious for the developers to take some time to come out with something substantial.
The first update of the game will include the ability to restart the campaign and buying a house to save money, to name a few. The update will also feature new graphics options like the ability to turn on and off features like ray-tracking and motion blur.
