Dua Lipa is counting down the days until the release of her third studio album, Radical Optimism, and she’s doing it in style. During a busy week in New York–where she was spotted hanging out with her actor boyfriend, Callum Turner–the singer showed off an eye-catching aura manicure.

One of last year’s hottest nail trends, aura nails traditionally reflect the wearer’s mood, and typically feature some kind of focal color (chosen according to the individual in question’s vibe) that blends into a different outer shade. As an example, red reflects a well-grounded, energetic and strong-willed personality, while green is reflective of someone who’s social and nurturing–a great communicator.
Lipa’s nails feature a blue-gray spherical center set upon a vampy, black shade, for a slightly spacey look. According to the aura chart, blue corresponds to spiritual, free-thinking, and intuitive personalities, which seems to reflect the singer’s public persona, at least.
