AS kids get older, it’s inevitable that they’ll eventually want their own independence and their own space.
But according to one savvy woman named Chanice, there’s no need to upsize your home if your children have a shared room.
That’s because Chanice, who is a self-confessed amateur when it comes to DIY, shared the genius way she transformed her two-bed house into a three-bed on a budget.
She revealed that the clever space-saving solution was achieved all for just £500, after she managed to nab a discount on the wood.
In the clip posted to TikTok (@chanicexxo), she shared a snap of the decent size bedroom that she was looking to divide into two.
“Let’s turn this into two rooms so the kids don’t have to share,” she says.
“Who needs a sink in their bedroom with kids?”
The clever mum then posted an image of a woodwork framing being secured in the middle of the room to help form the division for the two rooms.
“This is far more confusing than I thought! Angles are not for me,” she jokes.
After handing over the job to the “other half,” she explains how the room has successfully been divided in half and that the next job is to put the plasterboard up.
“We’re not professionals, obviously,” she points out.
Clearly delighted with their efforts, she shows off the very impressive results and enthuses: “Boys room complete.
“Baby girl’s room done!”
Chanice captioned the post: “Moving into a house we can finally put our stamp on has been amazing.”
The video has since gone viral, garnering over xx views and several comments from intrigued social media users.
“This is amazing!” enthused one.
Chanice replied: “Thank you – it’s far from perfect but on a budget we’re happy with the results.”
A second enthused: “Looks amazing sis xx”

A third commented: “We’re going to try and do this but the room is half the size and there’s a window that we have to work with – you’ve done such a fab job!”
Chanice responded: “Thank you – not bad for complete amateurs haha!”
