Injury Forces Change To Trios Match At AEW Double Or Nothing

A trios match set for this weekend’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view has been altered. Due to Isiah Kassidy being out injured, HOOK will team up with Matt and Jeff Hardy against The Firm’s Ethan Page and The Gunns. PWInsider revealed the change was announced by Matt Hardy during last night’s taping of “AEW Rampage” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Earlier this week, Kassidy posted an image of himself wearing a neck brace on social media and wrote, “Received some good news & bad news this evening… Also…. smd @OfficialEGO @coltengunn @theaustingunn.”

Matt’s announcement on “Rampage” came after Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, and Ethan Page had defeated Frescomatic, Watson, and Jeaux Braxton in a trios match. Page spoke on the microphone following that victory, which prompted The Hardys to appear. Matt disclosed that Kassidy couldn’t perform because of an injury, and then introduced HOOK as his replacement for Double or Nothing this Sunday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas. The trios bout and post-match segment will air on “Rampage” this Friday night.

Kassidy’s most recent match came on the May 5 episode of “Rampage,” where he, HOOK, and The Hardys defeated The Firm’s Big Bill, Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, and Stokely Hathaway in The Firm Deletion match. Matt and Kassidy departed The Firm following that cinematic encounter — the pair had joined the stable last October. The description attached to Kassidy’s latest YouTube vlog points out that the Private Party member will provide an injury update soon.
