Cypriot musician Christina Georgiou released her new personal album entitled “INTROVERT” a few days ago, by Blunatic Records.

What makes her new album different from her previous ones is that it is not music that came out of a commission, but a personal album of eleven songs in lyrics, music, production and interpretation itself. Songs that were written before she even started her career, but without being given the opportunity to record them, since there were constantly assignments, which always took priority.

These are Greek and English songs with electro elements and influences that move between alternative, rock, jazz and pop, as well as a duet and a low bap piece performed by Giorgos Miliotis. The actor’s participation in the album has a special meaning for Christina, since they met in 2007 on the set of the film “Styx”, for the music of which Christina was awarded the Best Award Soundtrack at the Monaco International Film Festival in 2008, marking the start of her international film career.

In a mostly introspective style, as the title suggests, the songs deal with the human condition in today’s society, sometimes emotionally, sometimes with symbolism and sometimes with clear references and findings.

In the last 20 years, Christina Georgiou has built an international career as a composer for film, theatre, dance and television, after her musical studies in London (BMus, MA, PhD), with hundreds of projects to her credit and the release of several soundtrack albums, compilations, but also singles performed by artists such as Olga Venetsianou, Marianna Pieretti, George Miliotis, Pavlos Grigoras, Marina Angelou, Ordinary Victim etc.

In a break, therefore, between assignments, came the full time for the production of her new personal album, which available on all digital platforms:
