The seventh episode reintroduces viewers to D.A. Sinclair, who faced off against Mark in the first season. In season 1, the character was voiced by Ezra Miller, who has been at the center of several controversies in the recent past. As a result, viewers must be curious to learn whether Miller returned to voice the character in season 2 and what Sinclair’s role would be in the overall story.

Invincible Season 2 Episode 7 Reveals D.A. Sinclair is Still Working for Cecil

D.A. Sinclair is introduced in the first season of Invincible as a mad scientist who created zombified cyborg supersoldiers known as “Reanimen.” After his cyborgs come into conflict with Mark, Sinclair seemingly kills himself. However, he is later revealed to be alive and working for Cecile Stedman, the director of GDA.

The second season ends with Cecile tasking Sinclair with creating an army of Reanimen to protect Earth from the inevitable Viltrumite invasion. In the seventh episode of season 2, Sinclair appears in a nightmare vision of Rick, before he is revealed to be still working for Cecile. In the episode, Cecile asks Sinclair to send some of his Reanimen to fight the kaiju.

The episode reveals that while Sinclair is still working on creating an army of Reanimen, they are not ready for deployment. Meanwhile, another Viltrumite warrior, Anissa, is also introduced in the episode, hinting that Cecile’s plan to use the Reanimen against the Viltrumites is drastically behind schedule. As a result, the episode hints that Sinclair has a larger role to play in the upcoming seasons.

Does Ezra Miller Voice D.A. Sinclair in Invincible Season 2?

Initially, Ezra Miller voiced D.A. Sinclair during the character’s appearance in the first season. However, Miller has faced several legal issues since 2022, making them a polarizing figure. The Flash actor faced several serious allegations such as disorderly conduct, harassment, and burglary charges. Therefore, it is safe to say that Miller reprising their role would have been bad news for the show.

As a result, it seems Invincible has distanced itself from the actor by choosing not to have them reprise their role from season 1. Instead, voice actor Eric Bauza takes over the role starting with the seventh episode of season 2.

Bauza is primarily known for voicing several Looney Tunes characters. Bauza’s other credits include shows such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and Guardians of the Galaxy, among many more.

In the comics, Sinclair goes on to become an important character after the events of Invincible #60. As a result, it is safe to say that Bauza will feature in a recurring role in the upcoming seasons of the animated series. As for Miller, 2023’s The Flash, which was a major box office failure remains their most recent release.

Invincible is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
