They were rumored to have been dating, though there’s never been any proof. But when Kim Kardashian attended Tom Brady’s roasting for Netflix on Sunday, May 5, 2024, the audience had a strong reaction to the reality star. Kim shrugged off some boos from the crowd before taking the stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
“I wasn’t going to come tonight, but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I might,” she joked. “Speaking of Tom and I dating, I know there were some rumors that we were, and I’d never say if we did or not. I’d just release the tape,” referencing her 2007 sex tape scandal.
“I do know it would never work out. An ex-athlete, high cheekbones, silky hair, you remind me too much of my stepdad now,” Kardashian continued, referencing her mom Kris Jenner’s former spouse, Caitlyn Jenner. “Part of me thinks you would want to undress me, just to try on my clothes.”
She continued: “Honestly, it’s hard for me to watch people roast you, but I think enough of my family members have helped defend former football players,” referencing her late father Robert Kardashian Sr. work as O.J. Simpson’s defense attorney.
Taking to Instagram Stories after the event, Kim subtly responded to anyone who booed her, writing in an Instagram story: “It’s insane that there’s over 7 billion people in the world and me and my best friend are the funniest. [sic]”
On May 15, 2023, a source told Page Six that Kim sought advice from the former NFL football player for buying a house in the Bahamas. “Kim and Tom are friendly. She phoned him and asked him for his advice on Baker’s Bay,” the source said.
Another source also added that Kim was “very familiar” with the exclusive housing community and has traveled there multiple times in the past. “She’s been eyeing property there for quite some time,” the source said. Other residents of the Baker’s Bay community include Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Michael Jordan, Justin Timberlake and Reese Witherspoon.
In response to any rumors the pair had dated, a source told Entertainment Tonight, “Kim and Tom have friends and business partners in common, but they are not dating.” Us Weekly’s source also echoed this sentiment. “They’ve been in touch but they’re strictly friends and she isn’t looking at dating Tom, or anybody else at the moment,” they said.
