The Pancypriot Retail Trade Association expects decisions as soon as possible on the issue of the serious lack of labor force, according to what the General Secretary of the association, Marios Antoniou, told the Philenews podcast, asking for a simplification of the existing licensing process for foreign personnel and speeding up the examination of requests.
At the same time, the issuance of the new decree for the employment of students from third countries during the summer season, with Mr. Antoniou hoping that his businesses will also be included in the decree retail trade.
Regarding the issue of accuracy, he noted that the increase in the prices of fuel results in a reduction in household consumption expenditure and therefore it is expected that products that are not classified as essential will be affected.
Fuel is a very large expense for all businesses and it is only a matter of time before we see companies to raise the prices of their productsciting the increase in fuel prices, he explained.
