It was a special evening for Nicole Kidman: Last night, the actor was presented with her Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. During the event, which was held in Hollywood, Kidman was presented her golden trophy by fellow award-winning legend Meryl Streep. “It is a privilege to make films,” said Kidman during her acceptance speech. “And glorious to have made films and television with these storytellers who allowed me to run wild and be free and play all of these unconventional women. Thank you for making me better at my craft and giving me a place, however temporary, in this world.”
Given Kidman was accepting a big award, it was only natural that her red carpet look, styled by Jason Bolden was both dazzling and glamorous. In fact, she looked like a trophy herself, dripping in gold sequins. Kidman was dressed in a custom Balenciaga look designed by Demna: The classic gown came complete with thin straps and a sweeping train that turned heads. She accessorized with an Omega watch and Gianvito Rossi heels.
