A pedestrian was seriously injured in a car crash in Cheshire on Tuesday evening.
Police received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the evening hours. A preliminary investigation showed the pedestrian was struck near the intersection of South Main Street and South Brooksvale Road, according to the Cheshire Police Department.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital, police said.
“At this time, the extent of the injuries are unknown, but are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening,” Cheshire Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland said in a statement Wednesday.
Sutherland said the crash remains under investigation.
