A body was found in a pond in Waterbury Thursday morning.
Police officers at 8 a.m. responded Fulton Park, in the area of 438 Cooke St., on the report of a body in the pond, according to the Waterbury Police Department.
Police said the person was removed from the water and confirmed to be dead. The victim has not been identified.
“This incident is under investigation,” Waterbury police Lt. Ryan Bessette said in a statement Thursday.
“There is no additional information available at this time.”
