A bank in Wallingford was robbed Wednesday afternoon after a man handed the teller a note demanding cash.

The robbery was reported just before 12:30 p.m. at the TD Bank located at 928 North Colony Road, according to the Wallingford Police Department.

After handing the teller a note, the suspect left with an unknown amount of cash in a dark colored, four-door Honda Civic, police said. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

Police said they believe the Honda may have been driven by a second person.

Officers who responded to the bank could not locate the vehicle or the suspect who entered the bank.

The man has been described as in his late 20s or early 30s, standing 5 foot, 9 inches tall, wearing a blue surgical mask, black baseball hat, dark sweatshirt and black glasses. The suspect had dark hair and a “very scruffy/bushy dark beard on the side of his face,” according to police.

The police department’s patrol and detective divisions are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 203-294-2845.
