Raid at Birmingham home turns up drugs, guns; 4 charged

A drug raid at a Birmingham home led to the recovery of drugs and guns and landed four men in jail.

Jefferson County narcotic’s officers carried out a search warrant Monday at a home in the 400 block of Second Street North, said sheriff’s spokesman Henry Irby.

Authorities seized 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 4.9 grams of cocaine, six guns – one of them converted to be fully automatic, and a digital scale.

Those charged are:

– Jecorie Dewayne Robinson, 32, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Robinson was released from jail after posting $10,000 bond.

– Rapheal Demetrius Jordan, 25, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released from jail on $10,000 bond.

– Damondre Juan Miller, 26, loitering for drug purpose and resisting arrest. Miller was released from jail on $2,000 bond.

– Calvin Leon Pickett, 34, loitering for drug purpose and resisting arrest. He was released from jail after posting $2,000 bond.
