(WAVY) — Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott made some new hires to his coaching staff with ties to Hampton Roads.

Ronald Curry, considered by many the best high school football player in Virginia history, has been named the Bills new quarterbacks coach.

The 44-year-old Curry was most recently the QB coach for the Saints, where he worked alongside current Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Curry was two-sport standout at Hampton High School where he won three state football championships and a state basketball championship.

Curry attended North Carolina, where he was the starting quarterback and point guard.

He played as a wide receiver in the NFL.

McDermott also announced the hiring of Christian Taylor as defensive quality control coach.

Taylor was the offensive coordinator at William & Mary.
