Stellar Blade‘s director Hyung-Tae Kim recently revealed in an interview with Ruliweb that it is yet to be decided if Stellar Blade will get any DLCs in the future. Kim said (translated),

“We will be working on a balance patch to prevent inconveniences for those who come in later and to make the game even more enjoyable for those who started playing first. The release of DLC has not been determined, but free updates such as additional costumes are being prepared.”

Kim stated that Shift Up is working on various updates to make the final version of the game smoother. Apart from this, the game will receive many free updates in the future. In fact, Kim added that the New Game+ feature will not be in the game but will be released in the future. Many gamers reported that Stellar Blade‘s free demo had a visual/input lag problem but making a small tweak in your TV settings will fix the issue.

Stellar Blade‘s demo introduced fans to the game’s female protagonist, Eve, but many players were not happy with the way Eve was portrayed in the game. Shift Up is being accused of objectifying Eve and deliberately making her outfits, particularly the infamous skinsuit, odd in order to attract the male audience.

The demo was released on 29th March and it’s safe to say that it has successfully impressed a lot of gamers despite the s*xism allegations. Stellar Blade‘s demo gives fans a taste of what they can expect from the full game, which will be released on the PlayStation Store on April 26, 2024, exclusively for PlayStation 5 users.
