The activities, the workshops and the equipment available at the Training Center for Land and Maritime Security and Port Security (CYCLOPS) in Larnaca, were presented in the afternoon to President of Estonia Alan Karis, during his visit.
In statements after the visit, Xenia Strouthou, assistant operator, who performs the duties of Assistant Director, said that “today there was a presentation of the Center, the laboratories that exist and the equipment that we have for the humanitarian corridor in Gaza, as well as the trainings that we offer”.
He added that the President of Estonia was also informed about “the trainings that take place at the Center, to officials and officials from various countries, such as Lebanon and Libya, i.e. mainly from countries in the Middle East and Africa but also from Balkan and European countries and the United States States”.
As explained by Ms. Strouthou, “the Center hosts trainings on issues related to, among others, terrorism, security, weapons of mass destruction and drugs”.
