With three complaints to the Greco committee, the union of the Police branch Equality, with its President Nikos Loizidis, stated in filenews podcast that one relates to the ADIPA law, the other to the circulars for hair and shaving in the police force and the third to the custody of minors, for which Cyprus violates international conventions.

Asked about the strong reactions of the members of the guild, to their participation in the Police action plan against organized crime, Mr. Loizidis clarified that they did not react to working, they reacted to working overtime and unpaid, in violation of their rights.

First the police mentioned, they must be a role model and respect the workers and not put police officers in the second category, calling them to show empathy in their duty. Asked to comment on whether organized crime can be fought with office staff, Nikos Loizidis pointed out that organized crime is not fought with lit beacons but targeted actions and that some people should not confuse organized crime with delinquency.
