Tigers’ lineup: Jake Rogers starting Game 2 in Los Angeles

Jake Rogers will be back behind the plate for the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night after hitting his 20th home run of the season in Monday’s series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The full lineup is below. Catcher Carson Kelly; outfielder Akil Baddoo; infielder/outfielder Zach McKinstry; and infielders Zack Short and Andre Lipcius are available off the bench.

On the mound, right-hander Miguel Diaz (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will serve as an opener for a planned bullpen game. Diaz has struck out nine in 6 2/3 scoreless innings since being called up from Triple-A Toledo on Sept. 1.

This will be Diaz’s second start in three days. He also served as an opener on Sunday in Anaheim.

Left-hander Caleb Ferguson (7-3, 2.44 ERA) will serve as the opener for the Dodgers, who are also expected to use several pitchers.
