Tigers lineup vs. White Sox: Miggy at DH, Eric Haase catching

DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers open a four-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday night at Comerica Park.

Miguel Cabrera will get the start at designated hitter, with Andy Ibanez at second base and Eric Haase behind the plate.

Haase is 8-for-21 with two home runs in his career against Sox starter Lucas Giolito.

The full lineup is below. Catcher Jake Rogers; and infielders Nick Maton, Jonathan Schoop and Zack Short will be available off the bench.

On the mound, the right-handed Giolito (3-3, 3.62 ERA) will face Tigers righty Alex Faedo (0-2, 4.60).

The Tigers (22-25) are coming off a six-game road trip in which they went 3-3. They will play the next seven games at home.

The White Sox (21-30) have won five of their last six.

This will be the Tigers’ first game wearing jerseys with an advertising patch for Meijer supermarkets.
