While speaking to DC in a 2021 interview, Greg Weisman was asked about transitioning production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Weisman described the transition as challenging initially, but overall, it was relatively seamless. They encountered some delays in adjusting their recording process for actors but managed to catch up eventually.

”It could be challenging. But our transition was relatively seamless. We lost some time figuring out a new method of recording our actors, but we caught up.”

Brandon Vietti noted that without soundproof booths in recording studios, many actors had to record from home in makeshift soundproof environments, with some even using closets. They provided acting notes through video chats during these sessions.

”Without the soundproof booths at recording studios, many of our actors recorded from home in the best soundproof environments they could find or create. Through video chats, where we provide acting notes, we saw many, many actors in closets!”

Greg Weisman mentioned that breaking the last few stories without access to their office’s bulletin board was a learning curve, but they managed to overcome it.

”Breaking our last few stories without the benefit of my office’s immense floor-to-ceiling bulletin board also required a learning curve, but we managed.”

Brandon Vietti expressed missing the in-person interaction with the crew but commended their dedication. Despite the challenges of COVID-19 and remote work.

”The video chat meetings proved efficient for getting art done, but we really missed interacting with our crew in person. Thanks to their dedication to the show, from both our WB team in LA and our animators at Studio Mir in Korea, everyone pushed through all those COVID/work-from-home challenges to bring their A game, and Young Justice has never looked better!”

Both the WB team in LA and animators at Studio Mir in Korea ensured the show maintained its high quality.

A DC Star Desired Mark Hamill to be In A Justice League Unlimited Reunion Project

A pivotal moment from Justice League Unlimited

For decades, Warner Bros. Studios struggled to bring together the legendary heroes of DC Comics on the big screen. However, their animation studio achieved this feat in 2001 on Cartoon Network with Justice League. Building on the success of iconic shows like Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series, Bruce Timm and his collaborators created a superhero universe filled with great characters and boundless possibilities.

Justice League and its successor, Justice League Unlimited, served as a gateway into the broader DC Comics universe long before the Justice League movie. In a 2017 interview with Comicsbeat, Wonder Woman voice actress Susan Eisenberg discussed her time working on the series. When asked about potential guest stars for a reunion project, she mentioned Mark Hamill among others, emphasizing that no one would say no to such a reunion.

”Off the top of my head… Mr. Mark Hamill would top my list! Extraordinary! And the truth is that no one would say no to a reunion!”

Unfortunately, despite the hype, a Justice League Unlimited reunion project never materialized, leaving fans disappointed by the missed opportunity.
