STRUTHERS, Ohio (WBKN) – A local grocery store was honored Tuesday for being one of the best of the best.
The CEO of IGA was in Struthers Tuesday morning to announce the owners of the Nemenz IGA as one of their Retailers of the Year.
Out of more than 2,000 stores across the country, only nine received the award.
It’s the highest honor IGA bestows upon its retailer members and is given to grocers who have best provided leadership and excellence in their communities.
Nemenz has received that honor in the past.
“It’s all about the customers. We’re here every day. It’s all about the customers, customer service, doing our best, always striving to do even more,” said store owner Judy Gabriele.
The owners say they also credit their amazing staff for the honor.
