While Florence Pugh’s return to the big screen as Yelena Belova in the MCU was confirmed even before her latest film’s release, there was no indication for the production of Thunderbolts to start anytime soon despite having been detailed to be in the pipeline.
But now, fans have got the much-needed confirmation that the proposed project has begun its production phase, which is thanks to the recent Instagram story by the actress.
In her Insta story, we also got a tiny glimpse of the set as well as other details of what to expect from the film in the future.
Even better, thanks to an industry insider, their breakdown of her behind-the-scenes video also revealed a key piece of information that relates to how the Thunderbolts will secure the superhero Sentry from a classified vault or bunker and formally introduce him into the franchise.
Florence Pugh’s Instagram Story Gives Us Hints To Sentry’s Introduction In The Upcoming Thunderbolts
Even before the production of the upcoming Thunderbolts got underway, there were many rumors and speculation of a hundred different things related to Florence Pugh and her character of Yelena Belova and how they will affect the franchise going forward.
Thus, when the actress shared her first look at herself as her MCU character along with a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram, fans combed through it to find what the film has in store for us when it releases.
In this video, we can see the Oppenheimer star walking around the set trying not to show too much of what’s going on, which was plenty for the eagle-eyed fans. But now, industry insider Daniel Richtman reported on the introduction of Sentry into the MCU via the upcoming film, which according to him, will happen when the superhero team finds him in a high-security vault.

And seeing the layout of the set in her video, we can barely witness the location resemble a large vault or bunker of sorts, which lines perfectly with what Richtman had reported not long after. Thus, it’s clear that Sentry will be a big part of the narrative path that the film takes in the future.
As for who will be playing the role of this soon-to-be-introduced comic book character, it’s still anyone’s guess as no official announcement has been made for who the featured star might be.
What To Expect From Thunderbolts?
With so many rumors and speculations floating around, it’s not hard to make an educated guess as to what Thunderbolts might bring to the table.
We already know that the Thunderbolts is going to be a team comprised of superheroes and reformed villains that will be under the direct supervision and control of Thaddeus Ross, who might also be part of the team. Along with that, there are rumors that the film will focus on the team trying to infiltrate Wakanda to acquire vibranium from the country, which will lead to a vibranium war.
Along with that, there are rumors of Wilson Fisk also playing a major role in the future of the superhero team within or after the film.
