WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A jury returned its verdict Thursday in the rape and gross sexual imposition trial of Katilyn Wilkes.
She was found innocent of two rape charges, and the jury could not reach a verdict on the remaining rape counts.
Wilkes was found guilty of five counts of gross sexual imposition, three of which were lesser convictions.
Wilkes’ bond was revoked with the convictions. Sentencing will be at a later date.
Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Diane Barber has said the assaults happened between December 2021 and February 2022 at four locations across Trumbull County.
The victim was 12 years old.
